The purpose built resort is lift linked with Italian resort La Thuile to create the Espace Bernardo 150kms skiing area. Skiing in La Rosiere

La Rosiere is the only skiing area in the Savoie to offer international skiing, due to its link with Italy. The long, wide tree-lined runs boast an even balance of terrain with something for everyone and good snow conditions due to its altitude at 1,800m. If you’re new to skiing then there are some free gentle green runs beside Clarines and Lievre Blanc lifts. Intermediates will find blues and reds on both sides of the border. It’s worth venturing over to La Thuile as it has a few more runs to keep you entertained. Expert skiers will be pleased to hear there are 16 black runs to choose from, especially in the woods cascading down from La Thuile. It’s good skiing here for such a small area, but the amount of drags can make it uncomfortable when accessing the higher areas.

Snowboarding in La Rosiere

La Rosiere is a popular destination for snowboarders as there are areas especially built for them. There is a decent boardercross over on du Fort and there is a large terrain park la Polette which includes a few rails, a hip and up to 9 table tops! Be warned of the lifts over to Italy, it’s two long drags one after the other. They are the only way to get over to the other side, but once you do, it’s worth every minute of riding those button lifts.

Apres in La Rosiere

The après scene here is fairly small, but that doesn’t mean that it’s bad. The bars that are here can get really lively and have a great atmosphere. There are also some decent restaurants if you’re eating out on your skiing holiday. As long as you don’t need an over-whelming choice of après bars, La Rosiere is perfect for group skiing holidays.
